![]() ![]() Except Greece decided to invade me and Gandhi (who lost Vijaynagara). Iroquois, France, India, Greece and I are were all friends, Kumbaya et al. Oh god, Landed Elite (Tradition tree) is hyper awesome (Landed Elite (Tradition Branch) now reduces culture cost of border growth by 2/3.) With just a monument and that medieval culture wonder, most of my cities have their borders at 3 radius with no buying! It's like a growing blob! Great buff to the tradition tree which makes it *totally* worth it! (Tradition ) I completed this tree and just started the Freedom tree.ĭiplomacy: Declarations of Friendship are cool. The new Circuses are cool, I wish monasteries also got the circus balance treatment and became slightly weaker + no maintenance (then I would build more of them!). The 0 maintenance walls are good, though (but I seldom needed them). (King Difficulty, Continents, Normal Speed) The Library no longer having specialists has made the Babylon's faster scientist special ability kick in at the Renaissance era (with Education + University) as opposed to the ancient era (which was awesome, yet arguably broken). I have been playing this patch earlier this morning, I random-ed Babylon. I had bought Civ5 off Direct2Drive, so the Spain+Inca pack was part of the entrance fee. While the patch is free, unfortunately, the new content will run US gamers $7.49. Firaxis is likely trying to shape up the game before the release of two new civilizations, Spain and Inca, and a DLC pack due out soon. The game has only been out about three months, but the list of changes is still fairly staggering. A few buildable structures, especially happiness-producing ones, have had their stats altered. Many mechanics of military units have been changed, from their number of moves to their attack penalties against each other. Several fixes attend to the AI's sometimes illogical diplomatic and military behavior, and there are some new diplomatic interaction options. For a version of Civilization that puts such a heavy emphasis on diplomacy, this has proved to be a sizable stumbling block. Gandhi, for example, has often emerged as an intolerant and ruthless warmonger. Players' main complaints have been about the AI-that they are often illogical, refuse demands when a massive army is poised on their borders, and will behave in a way inconsistent with their images. ![]() ![]() We gave Civilization V a favorable review and remain fans, but a number of big issues have come to light in the first few weeks since the game's release. The patch has a laundry list of changes and fixes to the game, including fixes for a few glaring issues such as lengthy AI turn times and uncharacteristic behavior, military unit changes, and the different benefits for various city buildings. You've been warned.Civilization V has recevied a patch today, as announced on Firaxis's forums. Tada! (Do not actually play this map, even if you're tempted to do so. This achievement is referred as ACHIEVEMENT_SCENARIO_02_DISCOVER_FOUNTAIN in the debug file. Heidegger's Experiment is a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne about the Fountain of Youth. The appearance of this natural wonder is a matter of chance, and it is likely you will unlock it automatically if you play enough games.ĭr. It can also appear in normal games, but it is rare. The easiest way to earn this is to explore the continent in that scenario. The Fountain of Youth natural wonder is commonly found in the Conquest of The New World Scenario. Added in a patch following the release of Spain and Inca DLC. ![]()
